LED’s advantages are many:

Longevity of operation, without replacing, average operation 30,000 to 50,000 hours, or 3 hours operation per day that works out to 27 years to 45 years, and complete failure up to 100,000 hours. Less ongoing maintenance.

Reduced power consumption. LED is approaching 80% efficiency 20% lost in heat energy… compared to incandescent 20% efficiency
80% lost efficiency to heat. More light for less cost. Example: An 8 watt LED replaces a 50 watt Edison base A-19 incandescent lamp. In
Arizona, that extra 40 watts of heat gain has to be eliminated by air conditioning in the summer, so more electrical expenditure.

LED’s. Do not emit harmful ultra-violet or infrared radiation, which are harmful to you and your furnishings. And it is said that insects are not attracted to LED’s.

LED’s contain no harmful materials such as mercury, gases to be concerned with in breakage or disposal.
